'Street Fighter V' Character News: Illuminati Agent Kolin Finally Becomes Playable Later This Month
Capcom has added another playable character in "Street Fighter V" in the person of Kolin, a conniving but loyal agent of the Illuminati. She serves as the second of the six characters from the second season of downloadable content (DLC) for the game, with the first being Akuma.
Prior to her addition in "Street Fighter V," Kolin is actually already in the fighting game as a non-playable character. She appears using her alias Helen in Charlie Nash's Character Story and in the "A Shadow Falls" story.
Her first appearance in the franchise, however, dates back to "Street Fighter III" although she was not a playable character there too.
In that game, she appears as the loyal assistant of Gill, whom she believes is a messiah. He was the one gave the powers that Kolin will be using in "Street Fighter V."
Those who have always wanted to play as Kolin in "Street Fighter V" will finally be able to do so as Capcom is officially inducting her to the roster on Feb. 28.
Kolin is known for her ice powers. This is what inspired her V-Trigger, in which she can shoot icicles to prevent her opponent's stun gauge recovery. "Street Fighter V" players can also use this move to setup even more combos.
For her V-Skill, Kolin gets a counter move that looks like some sort of a lunging strike. Unfortunately, it can be blocked by her opponent, but PC Gamer says that when used at the right time, it could serve as an opening to some killer combos.
Fans can watch the newest "Street Fighter V" character in action in the introduction video released by Capcom. The next four characters in the second season of the DLC support for the game will get the same introductory clips.
Kolin will be included in the "Street Fighter V" season pass, which can be purchased for $29.99.
