'Street Fighter V' Details Revealed Ahead of February Launch
Capcom has revealed a few details on "Street Fighter V" ahead of its February release, and the firm also announced that the final beta will be released for fans and supporters from Jan. 30 to 31.
"Street Fighter V" will officially launch on Feb. 16, and Capcom has just revealed new information on the game. The gamers will be able to play through the character stories, which will serve as the background story for the characters, roles, and their relationships with other characters, according to Gematsu.
The character stories also feature artwork by famous Japanese artist Bengus, the report adds.
Capcom also announced that they will release the first post-launch content for the game in March. This way, players will still have time to play through the first content and earn Fight Money that they can use to buy new characters, the report details.
Players can expect "Street Fighter V" to have amazing visual effects, exciting battle mechanics, and online challenges for players. The gamers can also compete with each other on the Capcom Pro Tour, which had $500,000 at stake in 2015, Worth Playing reports.
The next-generation visual effects will be powered by Unreal Engine 4 technology, which makes the visuals more realistic than ever. The new battle mechanics, on the other hand, focus on the V-Trigger, V-Skill, V-Reversal, and Critical Arts.
"Street Fighter V" fans can also expect new and returning characters including Birdie, Charlie Nash, Ryu, Chun-Li, M. Bison, and Cammy, the report relays.
After the February launch of "Street Fighter V," players can expect a free update that will feature a new story expansion. The new story, which will be released in June, will serve as the connecting event between "Street Fighter III" and "Street Fighter IV." This marks the first time that "Street Fighter" fans will be able to play through such a cinematic story experience.
