'Street Fighter V' Rumors: Additional Holiday and Nostalgia Costumes May Be Released Soon
References to additional DLC costumes discovered by noted data miner 'X-Kira'
Because the "Street Fighter V" content train apparently never stops, some more additions that may be coming to the game have yet again been discovered in its files.
Spotted recently by EventHubs, well-regarded data miner "X-Kira" was at it again, and a look through the files resulted in some interesting items being found.
To be more specific, the data miner managed to discover several references to currently unannounced downloadable content costumes.
As implied by the data miners' finds, it seems like different kinds of DLC costumes are on their way.
Balrog, Birdie, Chun-Li and Karin are apparently set to receive nostalgia costumes. Considering how much love these characters have gotten from fans over the years, it makes plenty of sense for the developers to tap into that using nostalgic attire.
The data mining discoveries also suggest that some "Street Fighter V" characters could be getting new costumes just in time for the holiday season. "X-Kira" noted that the characters who may have new costumes for the coming holidays are Alex, Cammy, Kolin and Menat.
Another thing worth noting about the recent data mining finds is that beyond the nostalgia and holiday themes, there may be one that will be featured by additional DLC outfits coming to the game.
DLC costumes that are expected to be released for Akuma, Balrog, Bison, Cammy, Chun-Li, Guile, Karin, Ken, Kolin, Laura, Mika, Nash, Rashid, Ryu, Vega and Zangief all belong to something known only at this point as "Set73."
One last thing worth pointing out is that aside from the "Set73" and nostalgia costumes, Chun-Li may be getting four other DLC outfits in the months ahead.
Unfortunately, possible release dates for these data mining discoveries have not been found yet, so players will just have to stay tuned.
More news about "Street Fighter V" should be made available in the near future.
