'Substantial win': Conservative Christians react to Supreme Court foster care ruling
Franklin Graham
The Rev. Franklin Graham, head of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and son of the late evangelist Billy Graham, posted to his official Facebook page expressing his belief that the ruling represents "a major win for religious freedom.”
His post has received around 221,000 "likes" and more than 50,000 "loves" as of Friday morning.
“I am thankful that our Supreme Court justices saw the importance of this issue under the law. Religious agencies and organizations should not be forced to go against their beliefs and biblical standards,” posted Graham.
“In this case, the city of Philadelphia was refusing to use a Catholic adoption agency because their religious beliefs prevent them from working with same-sex foster parents. Let’s give thanks to God that the Supreme Court ruled correctly.”
