Suge Knight and Tupac Murder Arrest, Police Report Confirms Rumors False (VIDEO)
A new police statement has been released regarding the arrest in the murder of Tupac Shakur.
To this day, Tupac Shakur is one of the best selling artists in the world. By 2007 he had sold over 75 million albums worldwide. The musician died in 1996 at the age of 25 after being shot to death. Tupac was believed to be the passenger in Knight's 1996 black BMW with Knight driving the vehicle when he was shot to death by an unidentified shooter, who pulled up next to them in a white Cadillac.
Shakur was killed in Las Vegas, where a police investigation was later conducted. If any suspects involved in the case had been arrested, Las Vegas police would be aware of such an arrest. A law enforcement officer has confirmed that Knight has not been arrested in Vegas.
"I don't have any information that he has been arrested," Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson officer Laura Meltzer told Zap2it. "We picked him up on some traffic warrants back in February, but since then, I'm not showing any arrests for him."
In 2010, a "fake video" depicted Suge Knight as the shooter, according to L.A. Late news.

"2Pac's Killer Arrested', the erroneous video first made news in December 30, 2010. And now, for unexplained the reasons, the video began dominating social networking last night," L.A. Late reported.
The video appears to mix footage taken off of Fox news directly after Tupac's murder, with Knight's later arrest for a completely unrelated charge.
The rumors were likely reignited by comments Knight made last week that suggested that perhaps Tupac was not dead at all, and possibly still alive somewhere.
"Maybe the question is ... Pac's not really dead ... Pac's somewhere else," Knight said according to Mercury News on April 20. "Nobody seen Tupac dead."
According to an apparent death certificate provided by Number One Stars, Tupac Amaru Shakur was pronounced dead by Dr. Lovett at 4:03 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, 1996, at University Medical Center's Intensive Care Unit.
The same site also suggested that Tupac's mother had identified her son's body after he was pronounced dead.
"His mother, Afeni Shakur, made a positive identification of his body at 5 p.m. at the hospital," the report stated. "His body was then taken by Davis Mortuary to the morgue, three blocks away. An autopsy was performed and the official cause of death was respiratory failure and cardiopulmonary arrest in connection with multiple gunshot wounds."
