'Suits' Midseason 5 Premiere Date Announced, Plot Continues With Mike's Arrest

American legal drama television series "Suits" is bound to return to the small screen soon for the continuation of season 5. According to Showbiz Junkies, the midseason 5 episode 11 will premiere on Jan. 27, 2016. Starting that day, the show will run six more new episodes which will air every Wednesday night on USA Network.

Several fans are already excited to know what will happen next to boy genius Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) after the cliffhanger midseason finale showed that Mike's secret is finally completely out of the bag now just when he resigned from the firm.

As detailed by The Hollywood Reporter, the show will pick up from the events of the last aired episode. Mike was last seen being arrested right in front of his fiancée Rachel (Meghan Markle) for conspiracy to commit fraud. The investigation will be headed by assistant U.S. attorney Anita Gibbs (Leslie Hope) who is determined to bring the whole firm down.

Mike's mentor Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) will do everything he can to help Mike get off the hook even though he knows that he is guilty. Meanwhile, Rachel will be devastated with the whole thing especially since they were supposed to get married already. She will also need to face her family, including her lawyer father, Robert Zane (guest star Wendell Pierce).

But above everything else, the biggest question asked by many is who turned Mike in. As reported by Realty Today, a clip was released showing a number of characters suspected to be behind the arrest. It led fans to come up with their own speculations.

Showrunner Aaron Korsh was careful not divulge any details on who the whistleblower is but he did mention during an interview that it could be anyone. "It could have been a friend, foe, a neutral party or someone who has never even met Mike," said Korsh.

Whoever sold out Mike, fans will have to stay tuned to find out.
