'Suits' season 5 plot news: Will Mike's arrest complicate his relationship with Rachel?
After episode 11 of "Suits" season 5, it was reported that the second half of season 5 will return next year.
The previous season show Jack Soloff, played by Pyper-Ferguson, and Daniel Hardman, played by David Costabile, organizing a strike. With that, Harvey, played by Gabriel Macht, began to question whether he should leave the firm. Jessica, played by Gina Torres, also had her qualms because she felt as though she was going to be voted out of the firm.
As for the episode to come next year, it was suspected that Father Walker is somehow involved in the arrest of Mike, played by Patrick J. Adams. Creator Aaron Korsh also revealed details about who could have been responsible for such act. He stated that fans will be surprised when they find out who was actually involved.
He explained, "I don't have at the top of my head the amount of people who know the secret so it could have been any one of them. Or, it could have been someone who found out who hadn't known before. It could have been a friend, foe, a neutral party or someone who has never even met Mike. We went through the whole gamut and landed on someone I liked. It's not necessarily poetic, but we've seen a lot of different reactions to people discovering Mike's secret and this is a new reaction."
Therefore, it is expected that the first episode in the second half of season 5 will follow the events after Mike's arrest. It will also center around Rachel's, played by Meghan Markle, canceled wedding. After these events, fans are wondering about the fate of Rachel and Mike's relationship. Korsh reassured fans that the arrest will not cause their relationship to end, despite the speculations that they will separate and move on. He stated that the season will see how the couple handle the situation and support each other nonetheless.
Suits season 5 will return on January 2016.
