'Suits' Star Gina Torres Confirms Split From Laurence Fishburne After 14-Year Marriage

Gina Torres and Laurence Fishburne have officially called it quits after 14 years of being married.

The "Suits" actress recently confirmed her separation from her estranged husband.

"With heavy hearts, Laurence and I quietly separated and began the dissolution of our marriage in the early fall of last year," Torres said in a press statement. "There are no bad guys here. Only a love story with a different ending than either one of us had expected," she added.

Torres also revealed that they are committed to coparent their 10-year-old daughter, Delilah. The 48-year-old's statement comes just a day after she was spotted kissing a mystery man in Los Angeles.

The new man in Torres' life was identified as solar energy investor/entrepreneur Kevin Wright. Originally from Utah, Wright now lives in Southern California and has reportedly met the actress in mid-August. He has six kids and recently split from his wife as well.

A source close to the couple told Page Six that Torres may have been attracted to Wright because he is very different from her ex. "He's the opposite of a Hollywood guy — he's just a cowboy type," said the insider. "He's an 'I'm going to go ride my horse' type of guy."

Native New Yorker Torres is best known for playing Jessica Pearson on USA Network's "Suits." She left the show last year but was recently confirmed to star in a yet-to-be-named spinoff for the legal drama, set to premiere next year. Aside from being the lead actress, she will also serve as the upcoming program's executive producer. Meanwhile, Fishburne currently stars on the ABC sitcom "Black-ish."

Fishburne and Torres also starred together in multiple projects. They both appeared in 2003 films "The Matrix Revolutions" and "The Matrix Reloaded." Additionally, the pair starred in the 2006 flick "Five Fingers" and the NBC drama "Hannibal," where they portrayed a married couple.
