Sun Bowl 2013 Live Stream Free: Watch UCLA Bruins vs Virginia Tech Hokies Online (CBS TV Schedule, Start Time)
The Sun Bowl takes place on Tuesday between No. 18 UCLA Bruins and Virginia Tech Hokies in what promises to be a hotly contested game. Today's big game is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the CBS network or online through free live stream (details below).
UCLA have had a relatively successful season, going 9-3, compared to the 8-4 season from Virginia Tech.
This will be the first meeting in the series between these two teams, meaning it is difficult to predict how the sides will react to one another. Each team has a losing Bowl record though, with the Bruins going 14-17-1 in Bowl games, where as Virginia Tech have gone 10-16.
It will be a big game today for the Hokies as they seek their first win against a Pac-12 school. They have failed in all three previous attempts; losing to Southern California in the preseason BCA Classic game, and to Stanford and California in other Bowls.
The Bruins are likely to have a fast paced outfit today, and that means the Virginia Tech Hokies will need to be at their best in defense and slow the UCLA game down. In particular, LB Jack Tyler could prove a handful for Virginia Tech, and they will have to make sure they clamp down on him and contain him throughout.
QB Brett Hundley will also be a big player today, and he can be somewhat unpredictable and provides a threat to opposition teams in various ways. He is not afraid to run the ball himself, but also has a big arm, which has been used to put on some big plays this year with WR Shaquelle Evans. However, when needed Hundley is also good and simply handing things over to TB Paul Perkins or FB Myles Jack and letting them hit opposition defenses.
Virginia Tech's offense has been in trouble at times this season, and have suffered from inconsistency. How close today's match up is will depend a lot upon what kind of game that offense brings to the field today.
