Super Bowl 2012 Commercials to Air on YouTube Ad Blitz Channel

Super Bowl 2012 will open up more than one outlet for advertisers to broadcast their high budget ads.

"As the premier online gallery of Super Bowl commercials, YouTube Ad Blitz puts all the commercials in your hands, letting you view and vote on the top ads of the Super Bowl, whether you're on a computer, mobile phone or tablet," read the site.

"This year, NBC Sports is the official partner for YouTube Ad Blitz, adding online promotion to its Super Bowl coverage."

For viewers who end up missing this year's Super Bowl commercials during the game, the new YouTube Ad Blitz channel launched by NBC sports will broadcast the ads right after they've aired on television.

It will be available through the YouTube channel and NBCSports.com. This site is currently full of pre-game content, including party recipes, tailgating tales, playoff coverage, and big game predictions.

The voting ends at Feb. 13 at midnight. NBC Sports and YouTube will also be hosting a live Google+ Hangout following the game with "an NBC celebrity." Viewers can also currently check out all of 2011's hottest commercials on the channel.

It seems that NBC is recognizing that advertisers' reach has expanded to devices of all kinds, such as computers, tablets and smartphones.

Last year's holiday season saw tablet sales soar with the addition of more cost-effective technology, like as the Barnes & Noble Nook and Amazon's Kindle Fire tablet.

Smartphones have also grown in terms of screen size and speed, making video watching a lot more convenient. It's much easier to use 4G LTE devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket and Motorola Droid Razr because they are efficient for pulling up YouTube videos.

The pixel density has increased as well on portable devices, with smartphones and tablets displaying content in 720p high definition.
