Super Bowl 2012 Picks: Animals Make Their Predictions (VIDEO)

Every year there is a steady buildup of excitement and anticipation for the Super Bowl. This year is no exception with people using just about anything they can get their hands on to make that all-important pick.

This year instead of letting to experts at sports agencies tell you who is going to win, you may just want to go to the local zoo and let the animals pick the winners for you.

In the case of a Rhino at a Texas zoo the choice was a "no-brainer." Named Arun, the one-horned Asian rhinoceros made his pick when two balls with either team's logo were placed into his pin. There was no hesitation in his decision: he picked the Giants.

"Yeah, he has no interest in the Patriots at all, so I think we've got to figure he's a Giants fan," said Ron Surrat, Zoo Director of Animal Collections, from an overlook above the animals play pen, according to 3News.

And then there was a camel in a New Jersey zoo that also got into Super Bowl Mania. The camel, aptly named Princess, who is the star of New Jersey's Popcorn Park Zoo, has picked the winner of five of the last six Super Bowls, as reported by The Huffington Post.

Her record is so solid that this year she went 14 and 6 in predictions this season, including playoffs. Princess also has an impressive lifetime record as well at 88-51. So it was no surprise when locals were lining up to see who the famed camel would pick this year: the New York Giants.

Zoo general manager John Bergmann explains that "it started out when a local radio station was looking to have some fun, so they asked Princess who was going to win a particular game each week, and it just took off from there."

"Now we have guys calling up on Sunday morning wanting to know who Princess has picked that week. One guy even asked if she does lottery numbers."
