'Super Mario Galaxy 3' will most probably be released after launch of Nintendo NX.

The much loved and still popular 1985 platform video game, "Super Mario," will have a new addition to its series. Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto has just said that there may be a new "Super Mario Galaxy 3" game that will be developed but it won't be released before the launch of the Nintendo NX.

Five years have gone by without a new "Galaxy" title coming out from Nintendo. Additionally, it is now eight years since the launch of Super Mario Galaxy. The original Mario Galaxy and its sequel are still the best 3D titles from Nintendo. The original Super Mario Bros. game is still great but Super Mario World is far better as it has taken the basic ideas and updated the gameplay by adding new worlds, secret stages, power ups, newer levels and Yoshi was introduced.

"[A new Mario Galaxy] is always in discussion," Miyamoto told Eurogamer. "But even with Mario 64 there was a lot of feedback about motion sickness with the 3D or maybe us making it too difficult.

To counter this, Nintendo went back to the traditional Mario games, such as its 2D New Super Mario Bros. series. It was about taking a safer route. Miyamoto says, "Going back to our roots and making New Super Mario Bros., anyone can play that. So that's why we went back. We're always thinking, is there a middle ground where people who do enjoy the 3D worlds of Galaxy and those who enjoy New Super Mario Bros. can both enjoy it? We're always looking at those opportunities."

Nintendo then went on to make Super Mario 3D Land for 3DS and 3D World for Wii U. They do have 3D environments but not the motion-sickness inducing free roaming of the Galaxy titles.

It is clear that Nintendo wants to perfect its hardware to give the "Galaxy" titles a smoother gameplay without the motion-sickness factor. Even though Wii U is good, Nintendo's upcoming Nintendo NX could be the platform on which the developers could try to make the "Super Mario Galaxy 3" a fun game.
