'Super Mario Odyssey' Made Available for Download Ahead of Oct. 27 Release

The highly anticipated "Mario" game, the "Super Mario Odyssey," was made available for pre-order and pre-load on the Nintendo Switch. This announcement came ahead of the official release of the game today, Friday, Oct. 27.

On Thursday, Nintendo announced that fans of "Super Mario" games could already pay for the new game and download it before it officially got released. By downloading the game before its release, fans got the chance to play the game as soon as it arrived.

"Super Mario Odyssey" is the first "Mario" game to have this pre-load feature. According to the developer of the game, this added functionality will also be added to all the other games that Nintendo will release in the future.

According to the game maker, fans who were interested to download the game ahead of its release simply needed to go to the eShop from the main menu of Switch, navigate to the Best Sellers option, and select it. "Super Mario Odyssey" was reportedly there, ninth on the list. If it is not, fans simply had to type the name of the game into the Search option.

If a "Super Mario Odyssey" advertisement appeared when a Nintendo Switch user turned on the console, all he needed to do was tap the ad with his finger to be redirected to the "Super Mario Odyssey" store page. The game carries a £49.99 price tag.

Prior to Nintendo's announcement, fresh details about the game have emerged online. Just earlier this week, Famitsu gave the game a review score of 39/40. Other reviewers also gave the game a perfect score of 10/10 because of its fresh capture abilities, impressive Joy-Con controls, and the thrill that comes with each stage of the game.

Reviewers also claimed that it is fun exploring every corner of each stage because of the huge number of secrets and surprises that the game offers.
