Super Smash Bros 4 Characters: 51 Slots on the Roster, 12 to Be Unlocked
3DS version of the Super Smash Bros 4 was recently released in Japan on Sept. 13. For rest of the world, including North America, it came out last Friday, Oct. 3. The Wii U Version is also reported to be released in stores during the holiday or winter season of this year, according to reports.
As true to all the entire series of the game, Super Smash Bros 4 characters were taken from various Nintendo franchises.
Below is the list of the 51 playable characters with the corresponding franchise to which they were taken from. At least 37 of them are available at the start of the game while the remaining characters can be unlocked based on the matches the player has won.
