Super Smash Bros 4 Roster: Could Series Introduce WWE Superstars or James Bond in the Future?
Super Smash Bros 4 is coming soon, and with the arrival of the fourth installment of the franchise, fans of the game already know their favorite characters and have their own ideas of who they wishes were in the game.
The game, set to release in early 2014, will be on the Wii U and for the first time, a handheld, the 3DS.
The Christian Post asked Facebook users who their favorite characters are and who they would like to see in the future of the franchise.
"[Favorites] Marth and Link. I want Little Mac from Punch Out, Simon Belmont from Castlevania and Ghirahim from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword," said Elton Jones, Gaming Writer for Geek Magazine.
"My favorite is Link. I'd like to see Simon Belmont or Shadow the Hedgehog," said photographer Christian Caputo
"Well my fav is Olimar. I'd like to see King K Rool from the original Donkey Kong Country," said drummer Jomar Vargas.
"[Favorite] Snake (Link is my traditional fav) and I wanna see WWF/WWE characters from the old N64 games," said Tom Connor, intern for the Staten Island Advance.
While the sampling is small, it is easy to see that most people have different ideas when it comes to who their favorite fighter is, and who they would like to see Nintendo add to the series.
Some of these seem a bit far-fetched like the WWE superstars, but for that matter, Nintendo is allowing third party characters in the game. The wrestling games were among the most popular games for the N64. What about a character such as James Bond from Golden Eye? It is an interesting thought.
The characters confirmed for the game so far are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Wii Fit Trainer, and the Villager.
The first game, Super Smash Bros, came out for the Nintendo 64. The second, Melee, was for the Gamecube, and the third, Brawl, for the Wii.
