Super Smash Bros 4 Rumors: Metroid, Other M Hidden Area Level Revealed

A new hidden area from on of the stages in the upcoming Super Smash Bros 4 game has been revealed by game director Masahiro Sakurai.

The level is called Pyrosphere, and it it features a corridor within the walls that will be hidden during gameplay even though it is an open space.

"Inside the corridor of the walls in Pyrosphere, a view that's really not visible in-game. You can't tell from the picture, but it's actually a gigantic open space," he said.

The stage is based off of a level in Metroid: Other M, which is the character Samus' game. He also hinted that the villain of Ridley, from the series, will make an appearance as well.

Sakurai also was recently speaking about the longevity of the video game character Kirby in the Super Smash Bros series and at the same time may have hinted at another possible new level in the game.

Promo photos of Super Smash Bros 4 have been surfacing over the last couple weeks, and recent one with series mainstay Kirby on it, was getting some attention because of the background in the photo.

Kirby was placed over a background of a starry night sky hinting the new level could be from the Super Mario Galaxy series of games for the Wii. The first game came out in 2007 while part two was released in 2010.

Super Smash Bros has become a Nintendo fan favorite for the company since its first release on the N64, followed by "Super Smash Bros. Melee" on Gamecube and "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" on the Wii.

This will be the first time the series comes to a handheld system, the 3DS.
