Super Smash Bros 4 Stages: Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks 'Pic of the Day' Shows Mega Man and Fox
Super Smash Bros 4 director Masahiro Sakurai released a "Pic of the the Day" showcasing the train level, "The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks," in the 3DS version of the game.
Seen in the picture are the characters Mega Man and Star Fox, as the later, jumps from car to car.
"In the train stage, the rear car can change during battle. It'll detach and move backward, so be careful! This pic features the Linebeck Trading Company, which is being transported for some reason," the picture description reads. See it here.
Previously Sakurai revealed the stage on Dec. 1 with Link (his stage) and Pikachu on the trains duking it out.
The theme is from a Zelda game for the Nintendo DS back in 2009. It is unclear whether this level will be in the Wii U version of the game, as both games will have different stages according to Nintendo. See the image here.
Super Smash Bros 4 was rumored to be coming out in spring 2014, according to a Nintendo executive from Germany, but now just a few days later Nintendo is saying it was a misquote.
Nintendo's Bernd Fakesch held an interview with Neckar-chronik.de earlier this week about upcoming releases for the company. In that interview, which was translated to English by GameSpot, Fakesch was quoted as saying the game would be arriving.
"For next spring two more big license games are also announced for our TV console with Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros," read the quote.
A Nintendo representative contacted VG247 to inform them of the misquote. We would like to clarify that the speculation about a Spring 2014 launch date for Super Smash Bros. on Wii U was the result of a misquotation in an interview," they said.
SSB4 Wii U is $59.99 and SSB4 3DS is $39.99.
