'Supergirl' Season 1 Episode 13 Spoilers: Young Kal-El Will Appear Next Episode
Fans will finally see Kal-El, Superman's Kryptonian name, in the next episode of "Supergirl."
Both Supergirl and Superman fans have been looking forward to see the Man of Steel appear in in the CBS superhero show, but it won't exactly be what they are expecting. According to Comic Book Resources, a younger Kal-El will be seen in the upcoming episode, instead of the caped superhero from Kansas City. Kal-El will be portrayed by the young actor, Daniel DiMaggio.
The episode will be showing a different reality, since everything and everyone from Krypton that Kara (Melissa Benoist) sees will just be in her mind. According to the International Business Times, an alien parasite attacked Supergirl, and made her hallucinate/dream that her family is still alive in Krypton. So her mother, Alura (Laura Benanti), is still alive and her baby cousin, Kal-El, hasn't grown up as Superman yet.
This may dismay fans since many have been waiting for Superman's cameo in the show. The only glimpse that fans saw of him was when he's chatting with Kara using Instant Messenger, and in episode 3, when he saved Kara from Reactron. However, that was only a silhouette of Superman, and fans have been craving for more. Unfortunately, it seems that may never even happen, according to the website.
Spoilers Guide posted an episode synopsis and it reads, "Kara's friends must find a way to save her life when a parasitic alien attaches itself to her and traps her in a dream world where her family is alive and her home planet was never destroyed. Also, Alex, Hank and the DEO must fend off a Kryptonian attack while Kara is out of commission."
"Supergirl" season 1 episode 13 was written by Andrew Kreisberg and was directed by Dermott Downs.
