'Supergirl' Season 3 Episode 4 Spoilers: Kara Gets Embroiled in a Cult Scandal
Kara (Melissa Benoist) is set to meet the head of a cult-like organization in the upcoming episode of "Supergirl."
In the episode titled "The Faithful," the synopsis reveals that the enigmatic leader, Thomas Coville (guest star Chad Lowe), has a mysterious connection to Kara. It has been previously teased that the group worships Supergirl. This will not stop Kara from investigating its secret practices.
The promo shows the heroine going undercover. Kara will attend the meeting with Coville, and she will be astounded with the scope of his influence. The man has a lot of followers, and they all appear to be under his spell. It remains to be seen how Kara will stop Coville from his larger-than-life plans for his people.
Meanwhile, J'onn (David Harewood) will think it is time to reveal an old secret. Last time, he went to Mars and reconnect with his race. Kara accompanied him, willing to offer help in case it would be needed. Also, Samantha (Odette Annable) will not be able to shake the feeling that she is letting Ruby (guest star Emma Tremblay) down.
The episode is also expected to show more of Lena's (Katie McGrath) continued attempts to know more about managing CatCo. Although she has Kara, Lena feels that she has to prove something. In a recent interview with TVLine, McGrath said that the friends would eventually face some hurdles. She also talked about Kara's depression.
"The dynamics of their friendship are different now," McGrath said. "It's not a bad thing, necessarily, it just means that their relationship has widened. They don't just have a personal relationship, they also have a professional one. And it's trying to balance both of them is challenging. How can she be a boss and still be Kara's friend? ... Lena wants to be there for her, but it's hard to help someone who doesn't think they need help. Kara doesn't think anyone can understand her right now."
"Supergirl" season 3 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
