Supergirl Season 3 Episode 4 Spoilers: Kara, Winn, and James Investigate a Cult
After an extremely emotional episode last week, the next episode of "Supergirl" season 3 will find the main characters back to the grind. The synopsis for the upcoming episode reveals that Kara (Melissa Benoist) and her allies will find out about a secret group that worships Supergirl, and they are bound to look into that.
Titled "The Faithful," episode 4 will feature a new secret group led by Chad Lowe's Thomas Coville. Spoilers for the upcoming episode reveal that guest star Lowe's character is a deeply spiritual man who is dedicated to preaching his beliefs and helping transform the lives of his followers. His motive in the episode is unclear, but the trailer suggests that he is up to something suspicious.
The trailer for episode 4 shows Kara, James, and Winn pretending to be potential recruits of the new secret group and attending one of its meetings. Soon after the gathering starts its session, Kara is able to conclude that the group is not a religious group. Instead, she felt that it was more of a cult.
At one point in the clip, Thomas asks her, "Did you come here to test my faith?" The video also shows Kara telling her allies that Thomas keeps a bomb, which he plans to detonate during an upcoming general assembly of the members of his cult.
Before the season 3 premiere, "Supergirl" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg revealed in an interview that this season would see more of Kara, Winn, and James working together.
"The one thing we really wanted to get back to, that we sort of lost last year, was the 'Super Friends' — the OG team of Winn, James, and Kara investigating things. There's a bunch more opportunities for that this season," he said.
"Supergirl" season 3 episode 4 airs on Monday, Oct. 30, at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
