'Supergirl' Spoilers: Synopsis Reveals Toyman's Escape from Prison
"Supergirl" episode 10 will see Toyman breaking out of prison and Kara will have her hands full with the turn of events, based on the synopsis for the episode titled "Childish Things."
CBS has finally released the synopsis for the upcoming "Supergirl" episode dubbed "Childish Things." The official description reveals that Toyman, a.k.a. Winslow Schott, who will be played by Henry Czerny, will escape from prison to look for his estranged son Winn. Kara will do her best to be at her friend's support, according to Comic Book Resources.
Warner Bros. describes Toyman as a supervillain who weaponizes toys for revenge and destruction. He is obsessed with seeing his son Winn once again, the report details.
In addition, Cat will offer Lucy a job at CatCo. Alex will also ask Hank to use his superpowers to find out what Maxwell Lord is planning, the report adds.
With the attention that "Supergirl" has garnered, producers may be looking to add more female characters to the cast of the series. Italia Ricci is the first one to be added to the roster and she will play the villain Silver Banshee, Science Fiction reports.
Executive producer Ali Adler confirmed that they are looking to add more female superbeings for the series.
"We're actually doing that now in our backorder from CBS, so we're actually working on that right now. Absolutely," said Adler. "There might be a little twist to that too… These are all very good questions. Yes."
When it comes to the plot of the show, rumor has it that the last few episodes would feature hundreds of Kryptonian citizens flocking in. This would follow the storyline from the "Superman" and "Supergirl" comics launched a few years ago, the report relays.
Should the rumor prove to be true, a new figure called Superwoman will also appear. This could be the twist that Adler was referring to, although it is still unconfirmed.
"Supergirl" will return from its hiatus on Jan. 4, 2016 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
