'Supernatural' Season 11, Episode 9 Spoilers: Amara Out For Revenge
In the midseason finale of "Supernatural," the townspeople will be in grave danger as Amara (guest star Emily Swallow) finally puts her revenge at work, creating chaos all over the place.
It was revealed earlier that the Winchester brothers will focus on trying to put things back where they belong in this season. On the finale of season 10, the brothers released Amara, a.k.a. The Darkness, not really knowing where their actions will lead them.
It was also revealed in episode 7 that while the brothers will try their best to keep the peace in town, Dean's (Jensen Ackles) connection to Amara will make the mission complicated and all the more dangerous for him and his brother, Sam (Jared Padalecki).
The synopsis for episode 9 reads, "Amara unleashes her power on the local townspeople as she issues a shocking challenge. Dean tries to better understand the hold Amara has on him, while Sam and Crowley (Mark Sheppard) come up with a plan that could have disastrous consequences."
For the most part, Dean loves his people and will not allow anything bad to happen to them, but with the "Mark of Cain" that Amara says is what keeps the two of them fighting for the life of the other when faced with death, the upcoming episode will pose a sure threat to Dean's life.
When Castiel (Misha Collins) found Metatron (Curtis Armstrong) in episode 6, it was revealed that Amara is God's sister whom He locked away so He can create mankind. Amara, who feels that she was betrayed by her brother, will now take a full-blown revenge that can possibly eradicate man from Earth.
Will Dean be able to break the chains that bind him to Amara? Find out on Wednesday, Dec. 9, on The CW, in the midseason finale titled "O Brother, Where Art Thou?"
