'Supernatural ' Season 11 Episode 9 Spoilers: Jared Padalecki's Favorite Episodes

The midseason finale of the hit series "Supernatural" season 11 will have the Winchester brothers finally facing the Darkness.

The upcoming episode, titled "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou," will soon be bringing the adult version of Darkness to battle it out with Sam and Dean. With that, fans can expect that the series will present an action-filled episode before the show's winter hiatus.

Jared Padalecki, who plays the role of Sam, recently spoke to TV Line about the upcoming episode. He explained that he did not expect this part of the story line as early as now. He said that he was expecting the events to happen at least in the finale of season 11. However, he is excited for fans to see the upcoming episodes.

He said, "Episodes 9 (the fall finale) and 10 are my favorite episodes of Supernatural in a long, long time. I love the twists and turns — none of which I can probably say without getting out of here alive.The brothers are very committed to fighting alongside each other..."

This upcoming episode will be interesting to see, as the brothers are expected to unite in order to defeat the Darkness, also known as Amara. With that, fans can expect that the return of "Supernatural" after its winter break willl also be full of excitement. The upcoming episode will certainly set the mood for episode 10, which will surely have fans anticipating the series' return.

According to TV.com, the synopsis of "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou" reads, "Amara unleashes her power on local townspeople and issues a shocking challenge. Dean tries to better understand the hold Amara has on him, while Sam and Crowley come up with a plan that could have disastrous consequences."

"Supernatural" season 11 episode 9 is expected to air on The CW this Dec. 9.
