'Supernatural' Season 12 Episode 15 Spoilers: The Winchesters Go Hellhound-Hunting in 'Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell'
Now that the Alpha Vampire (Rick Worthy) is dead and Sam (Jared Padalecki) has expressed his interest in banding up with the British Men of Letters, the popular horror-fantasy series "Supernatural" may just be headed toward some major changes. Will Sam finally be able to convince Dean (Jensen Ackles) to side with the British when they face up against hellhounds in the upcoming episode?
The hellhounds are fierce, canine-like beasts from hell whose main purpose is to collect the souls of humans who have made a deal with the Crossroads Demon. They are especially hard to defeat largely due to their invisibility, their size, and their commitment to their task. When a hellhound comes after someone, they almost always succeed in dragging that someone down to hell.
A pack of hellhounds once killed Dean, but latter seasons have given the Winchesters a way to see, and thus defeat, these pit bulls from Hell via the Hellhound Glasses. They always hunt in packs, though. So what could one hellhound be doing attacking people at a campsite? The official trailer for the next episode hints at an answer.
It seems that the rogue hellhound is actually Crowley's (Mark A. Sheppard) pet, which is the largest of all hellhounds in hell. Crowley, the former King of the Crossroads, used to keep this pet by his side, but the said pet has long since become unaccounted for.
If this rogue hellhound were really Crowley's pet, what could've sent it on a rampage? Is it collecting the souls of people who have once made deals with Crowley himself? Or has it simply just gone wild and is offing everybody on its path?
The Winchesters and the current King of Hell will once again work together to unravel the mystery and stop this hellhound from causing anymore trouble.
Titled "Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell," the upcoming episode will also expose Crowley's secret detainment of Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) to his own personal demons. Meanwhile, Castiel (Misha Collins) will get a significant lead on the whereabouts of Lucifer's baby mama, Kelly (Courtney Ford).
Supernatural season 12 episode 15 airs on Thursday, March 9, at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
