Surprising Top YouTube Videos of 2011
As 2011 draws to a close, Rebecca Black’s “Friday” video has topped all others with the most views this year.
The Google Inc. video-sharing site announced its most-viewed clips of the year on Tuesday and revealed the 14-year-old’s feat.
“Friday” has over 180 million views, and transformed the teenage singer into a viral video celebrity almost overnight following its posting. Black’s parents funded the music video’s production without expecting the off-key tune to become an international hit.
