'Switched at Birth' season 3 plot news: Troublesome relationships begin to surface

It was reported that the upcoming episodes of "Switched at Birth" will challenge several relationships.

According to Cartermatt, Eric, played by Terrell Tilford, finally asked Regina, played by Constance Marie, to move in. However, their relationship will see trouble when Regina tries to get to know the mother of Eric's son by traveling to Atlanta.

Furthermore, it was revealed that John, played by D.W. Moffett, will experience a heated argument between Toby, played by Lucas Grabeel, when discussing financial issues. A teaser reveals that John was screaming at Toby.

As for Bay, played by Vanessa Marano, it was revealed that she and Daphne will also have some tension between each other when they realize that they have different perspectives on pregnancy.

Meanwhile, Travis, played by Ryan lane, will be leaving for L.A., in order to meet up with Emmett, who now seems like a different person.

Lea Thomson, who portrays the character of Kathryn Kennish, stated that she and Marano had discussed their roles on the series. She said she is happy with the chemistry shared by the cast. Also, she is thankful that fans have been staying updated on the show, which proves that the drama in the series really hooks audiences.

The synopsis for the upcoming episode read, "Daphne is thrilled when Eric asks Regina to move in with him, but Regina is troubled by how little she knows about the mother of Eric's son, Will, and decides to go to Atlanta to find out more about the woman. John's financial stresses come to a head when Toby approaches the family for support, prompting John to lash out at him. Bay is surprised to learn she and Daphne have opposing opinions about how to deal with the pregnancy. Meanwhile, Travis goes to Los Angeles to visit Emmett and is dismayed to find Emmett has gone to 'Hollywood.'"

The upcoming episode of Switched at Birth will air on Sept. 7.
