The entire school community is waiting with baited breath on how the board will respond to what's happening. The teachers are also worried about the situation.

Regina (Constance Marie) is shown talking to a crying Sharee, encouraging her to tell her story because people will listen. Daphne (Katie Leclerc) is not wrong when she says that the whole incident is very serious. In the clip, Iris is revealed to have collapsed. She is shown lying on the floor, unconscious, while the others scramble to help her.

In a recent interview, executive producer Lizzy Weiss told TVLine that they did a lot of work to ensure that the black discrimination storyline would be conveyed appropriately.

"It's woven into the first half of the season. We really tackle some stuff that, even though it's been 15 months since we wrote it, I've never seen tackled on TV, because I don't think there are any other shows that take place in college. It's something I'm really proud of and excited about and I hope causes a lot of conversations, particularly on college campuses," the EP said in the TVLine interview.

"Switched at Birth" season 5 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on Freeform.
