T-Mobile Schedules iPhone 5 Event

T-Mobile has scheduled an event that could be related to the iPhone 5 release date by the service provider.

The company has set up an “All Hands Day” meeting on September 24 for reasons unknown at the time, according to tech website 9to5 Mac.

The site suspects that this event could possibly be used to brief employees for taking pre-orders for the iPhone 5 which have been rumored to be starting on September 30.

A week’s time should be plenty for T-Mobile to gear up for an iPhone 5 release.

Deutsche Telekom, the German parent company to T-Mobile USA has already begun accepting pre-orders for the next generation iPhone.

This could imply that T-Mobile will be carrying the iPhone and joining other networks such as Sprint, Verizon and the iPhone’s original carrier AT&T.

TmoNews claims it has possible evidence that Apple will be announcing the iPhone 5 in about two weeks time.

The site received many emails which reveal this information along with confirming the T-Mobile event.

The iPhone 5 is not supposed to hit stores until October so this is most likely not an iPhone release event, according to 9to5 Mac.

There is also the possibility of T-Mobile promoting other devices on this day such as Samsung’s Galaxy S II or another non-Apple related marketing and sales plan.

Apple is supposed to hold a media event this month which may occur earlier in the same week as T-Mobile’s.

Device manufacturer Foxxconn has reported that it is already producing the next generation Apple smartphone at a rate of 150,000 iPhone 5s a day.

The rumors of T-Mobile carrying the new iPhone started late last month, shortly after Sprint had confirmed that it would be selling it.

If T-Mobile acquires the iPhone, than all four major U.S. network service providers will carry, what is arguable the world’s most popular smartphone.
