Taken 2 Movie Trailer Gets Fans Excited About Sequel
Liam Neeson found a hit with 2009's "Taken" and now the Irish born actor is back reprising his role Bryan Mills the retired U.S. spy who rescued his daughter from the harsh sex trade in the first film.
However, in "Taken 2," Mills ex-wife is kidnapped bythe same crime family instead, in order to avenge for them deaths of the bad-guys in the original film.
A new trailer has been released that lays out the basic plot of the film.
Mills seems to be stationed in Istanbul when he is paid a visit by his ex-wife and daughter Kim who was kidnapped in the first "Taken."
The trailer begins by showing the family members of those who were killed by Mills in the first film plotting their revenge on him, and during the visit from his ex-wife and daughter the bad guys decide to make their move by kidnapping the girl's mother.
This is where Mills begins to give instructions to his daughter Kim in a similar fashion to how it was done in the first film and it looks like he will once again apply his special "set of skills" to rescue his ex-wife from the hands of those looking for revenge.
The original "Taken" has been called a surprise hit by some who underestimated the amount of success the film would garner when it launched in 2009.
The success of the movie seemed to place Liam Neeson in similar roles including "Unknown" and" "The Grey."
He is also expected to make an appearance in what will arguably be this year's biggest blockbuster "The Dark Knight Rises," reprising his role as Batman's nemesis and former mentor Ra's Al Ghul.
Taken 2 opens on Oct. 5 in theaters everywhere.
