Laiphaset is a young boy who is expected to play a big role in the game. The main protagonist in "Tales of Berseria" is Velvet and she is considered to be the "shadow." In contrast, the newly introduced character Laiphaset is going to represent "light."

Siliconera also provides details about the game's "Linear Motion Battle System." According to the publication, the system will be "evolved" in the game. For instance, character controls will be based on "free run." Camera angles can also be freely moved around even while players are in the midst of a battle. Players can set the Artes they want on all four buttons: circle, X, triangle, and square. They can also do combos and decide which Arte to use next by combining "up" buttons.

Siliconera also adds that the controls will be familiar. They are what the "Tales" series has had before. The game's developer will also focus on providing players with controls that "battle with speedy and refreshing feelings" and "controls that just about anyone can pick up and play with ease."

"Tales of Berseria" will have many more new features like new systems and these are expected to be announced later on.

The "Tales of Berseria" trailer also revealed when gamers can expect the game to arrive on Sony's PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The game is expected to release sometime in 2016.
