In the midst of speculation about her marriage, Tamar Braxton has decided to speak publicly about her relationship with her husband of 13 years, Vincent Herbert.

Last month, TMZ reported that Braxton and Herbert were involved in an alleged domestic dispute and posted the recording of a 911 phone call placed by a friend of Braxton's who said her music executive husband had bit her finger at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, and then fled in a taxi.

Braxton subsequently posted a video on Instagram of herself talking to paparazzi at the LAX airport last week, saying: "I'm not even finna defend my relationship to anybody. Ever. This is a marriage," she said. "This is not my boyfriend ... this is my husband for 13 years, so everybody else can have several seats. ... God is good."

The celebrity couple have risen above rumors concerning their marriage in the past. Last July, Herbert insisted that his marriage was intact, telling Hip Hollywood's Kevin Frazier that "when people see you have blessing, they always want to tear you down."

Braxton, the 39-year-old three-time Grammy nominated singer-songwriter, married her music executive husband in 2008. Since then, she has allowed the world to witness their ups and downs on the series "Tamar & Vince" and "Braxton Family Values."

In an interview with Upscale magazine, Braxton said: "We have to get along or else we couldn't get anything done. The level of respect for each other has increased and we've grown up because of it. ... I know I've matured. Now he's a father, I'm a mother. We don't have time for that."

The singer previously appeared on "The Yolanda Adams Morning Show" where she revealed that letting the world into her marriage might've actually helped it.

"Had it not been for the show, 'Tamar & Vince,' I probably wouldn't be sitting here today," Braxton told Adams. "It was a lot of things going on in our relationship that we didn't realize until we watched it back."

Braxton insisted that her marital issues contributed to her album, Love & War.

"Those songs would have never been written," she said. "It was therapeutic and some things had to be said. And sometimes when you're in a relationship, you don't know how to bring things up."
