If it were not for God, actress Taraji P. Henson knows she would not have a makeup line.

The "Empire" actress who is gearing up to release her book Around the Way Girl: A Memoir next month took to social media to glorify God for her MAC Cosmetics makeup collaboration.

"My heart is so full!! I give GOD ALL OF THE GLORY cause I understand where my blessings come from. #IjustWantToInspire that is all," the 46-year-old actress captioned an Essence magazine article about her new makeup collection.

So much to thank y'all for!!! Just thank you!!! #GodIs I am just an #AroundTheWayGirl who had dreams!!! My heart is so full!! I give GOD ALL OF THE GLORY cause I understand where my blessings come from. #IjustWantToInspire that is all.

The actress, who is also preparing to star in the upcoming motion picture "Hidden Figures" next year, launched her six-piece online exclusive MAC collaboration last week that includes lipstick, mascara, highlighting powders, eyeliner and a makeup brush.

Henson told BET why she believes MAC was a great collaboration for her.

"This was such the perfect marriage. This represents my fan base, the regular, everyday woman who identifies with that," she said. "I watched so many women [spokespeople for MAC] that I looked up to like Diana Ross, Mary J. Blige, Pink, Eve, and as a girl with dreams, walking in the mall saying, 'I want to do that one day.' And now to see these posters [of the campaign] blown up in the store is so overwhelming."

The actress said seeing her face on promotional posters caused her to gasp because, "I'm now that for some little girl in the mall right now. It's just perfect."

However, Henson made it clear that God is not blessing her beyond what He can do for other people.

"If I can make it, anyone can. God didn't give me anything more than he gave any other human," she said. "If you have a dream, no one can take that away and as long as you have that hustle and drive inside of you. I am a living testimony of that."

The "Empire" actress who previously hosted the BET "Celebration of Gospel" has previously made it clear that she believes in the power of God. The actress previously spoke to The Christian Post about how her Christian faith has impacted her career.

"It has definitely kept me sane and continues to keep me sane because I know how I got here. I moved to California with $700 in my pocket with my son and a dream and faith," Henson told CP. "And every time a door would close I would pray to God, like 'I know you've got a plan for me because I'm still here.' There's a plan for me and I believe in that."
