Taylor Swift and Zac Efron Sing Duet, Deny Dating Rumors (VIDEO)
Taylor Swift has denied that she is dating her "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" co-star Zac Efron, despite contrary reports which continue to circulate the web.
"We are not a couple. He's awesome; we are not a couple though. You hear people get together when they're shooting movies, co-stars. But not, like, animated co-stars — you know what I'm saying? Oh my God, as we were recording out voice-overs on separate coasts, we really connected," Swift said during an appearance with Efron on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
While both Swift, 22, and Efron, 24, insisted that they are single, they proceeded to discuss how they celebrated Valentine's Day before performing together.
The country music star spoke about how she spent her Valentine's Day hosting a "pathetic single girls party," where she says that she consumed a lot of junk food.
"That's actually what it was called. It was cool. I'm not saying that being single is pathetic...I think it's awesome!" Swift told DeGeneres.
Efron politely laughed after Swift spoke about her party, and went on to describe his Valentine's Day before praising Swift for teaching him how to play the guitar.
"That's so different than what single guys do. I went to a screening of a film that I did called 'Liberal Arts,' then cooked some dinner," Efron said.
"[Swift's] a great teacher. In the past, everyone who's tried to teach me guitar starts with music theory and stuff like that," he added.
"I tend to just doze off after a while. She went straight into songs. She taught me, like, four chords and I'm already playing all the good campfire songs," he boasted.
The two performed their own humorous rendition of Foster The People's "Pumped Up Kicks," while Efron showed off his new guitar playing skills.
Rumors of a blossoming romance between the two began swirling in January shortly after New Year's Eve, after a source told Us Weekly magazine that they were spotted having what appeared to be a romantic dinner together where they were both "deep in conversation and very giggly."
Efron has recently been linked to British actress Lily Collins, while Swift ended her brief romance with actor Jake Gyllenhaal last year.
