Taylor Swift News 2015: Cast in "Law and Order: SVU" – Confirmation by December

One of Taylor Swift's favorite TV shows is the crime-drama "Law and Order: SVU." Not only does she love the show, but she has also named one of her cats after one of the show's characters - Manhattan police sergeant 'Olivia Benson'. Rumors are that Swift might appear in an episode of "Law and Order: SVU."

Not content with naming a cat after 'Olivia Benson', Swift invited actress Mariska Hargitay, who plays Olivia Benson, to be a part of her girl gang. Hargitay said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that Swift may do a cameo or a guest role on "Law and Order: SVU." She said, "We just talked about it. We're going to wait until the end of the [Swift's 1989 World] tour to see how it goes. But it's in the air."

This is not Swift's first tryst with acting. In an episode of CSI, another of her favorites, she played a rebellious teen in 2009. In 2012, she was the voice for the character of Audrey in "The Lorax." Then again in in 2013, she acted in an episode of "The New Girl."

According to TaylorSwift.com, another one of Swift's favorite TV shows is the hospital drama, "Grey's Anatomy." She cried copious tears when Denny died and she wants to name her first daughter 'Izzie.' The site also says that she sees herself as somewhat an expert on crime shows and procedurals and would have loved to be a forensic detective if she weren't a singer.

If due her busy schedule, Taylor is unable to shoot for "Law and Order: SVU", Mariska Hargitay and producer Warren Leight have a fabulous idea that will be loved by Taylor's fans. According to Entertainment Tonight, Warren Leight says, "We're thinking of naming a squad room cat Taylor." Hargitay adds, "The squad room needs to get a cat or I need to get a cat and name it Taylor."

But fans will have to wait until December for Taylor's confirmation. Until then, keep glued to the coming season of "Law and Order: SVU."
