Taylor Swift Meets Fan Who Survived Car Accident at Concert

Taylor Swift has proved her love for her fans once again after meeting a young fan over the weekend who had been struck by a car outside of the singer's concert last month.

No stranger to going out of her way for "Swifties," Swift was introduced to Grace Markel, who has fortunately recovered from severe injuries sustained after she was struck by a speeding driver just weeks ago.

The 7-year-old fan had tickets to attend Swift's concert in Chicago on Aug. 10 with her parents, Will and Amy Markel. While they were entering the concert venue, Grace was struck by an SUV estimated to have been traveling at 30 miles per hour, reported People.com.

As a result, Markel was rushed to Children's Mercy Hospital for two skull fractures, a slight left orbital fracture, a concussion, multiple head lacerations and road rash all over her face and body.

Making matters worse, Markel was unable to attend her favorite singer's concert that day.

Fortunately, Grace was finally able to see Swift in concert along her "Red" tour in Nashville on Friday after her parents bought her tickets.

Furthermore, Swift was made aware of her fans' story, and the pair was introduced backstage ahead of the concert.

"Taylor greeted Grace by her name and immediately knelt down and hugged her," Amy Markel told People. "She told Grace she had a cold and asked Grace to sing extra loud to help her out."

Meanwhile, despite Grace's help, Swift posted health concerns to Twitter ahead of the final shows along her "Red" concert tour.

"Uh oh. Realizing you're actually really sick on the day of a sold out show is a whole new level of stressful," the 23-year-old singer wrote on Thursday.

Swift's "Red" tour is named after her latest album and recently finished the North American leg of the shows. Hit songs "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "Never Ever Getting Back Together" are both off of the singer's fourth album.

In the past, Swift has met several fans with special stories ahead of performances along her worldwide "Red" tour.

Earlier this year, the "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer met a fan, Lauren Hacker, who is receiving treatment for cancer at Children's Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha.

The meeting was arranged through a campaign on social media, according to the Omaha World-Herald. Meeting Swift was a dream come true for the fifth grader at St. Margaret Mary School.
