Taylor Swift news: Singer's 'Husband' Comes To Rescue Her

An apparently deranged man has been arrested and is now facing aggravated burglary charges after breaking into another person's house, claiming that he was on a mission to save Grammy award-winning singer Taylor Swift, whom he claimed to be his wife.

According to a report, the 26-year old Paul Herrin was at the unnamed homeowner's home. Thinking that it was a tenant who would make some rental payments, the homeowner opened the door, which Herrin attempted pushing to gain full access to the house while telling the homeowner that he was there to save his wife, Swift.

Despite the struggle, the homeowner managed to shun the intruder and immediately called the police. While on the phone, the would-have-been burglary victim heard the suspect attempting to open the backdoor of his home.

When the police arrived, they found Herrin at the backyard of the homeowner. When questioned, he reiterated the story he first told the homeowner: he was there to save Taylor Swift. He then went on saying that a source whom he could not disclose told him to look for the house with a green light illuminating its front door to find Taylor Swift and save her. Incidentally, the homeowner's front door, indeed, has green lighting, sans even the shadow of Swift, though.

The intruder was then taken into custody and charged with aggravated burglary with a $30,000 bond.

Speaking of Swift, 10-time Grammy winner has already been overtaken by her BFF Selena Gomez, at least, in terms of having the most Instagram followers. MTV reports that Gomez edges Swift out with her new 69.6 million followers as compared to the latter's 69.2 million. Coming in third is Kim Kardashian with 63.7 million, followed by Ariana Grande and Beyonce, with 63. 2 million and a flat 63 million followers, respectively.

Swift's "1989" album bagged The Album of the Year Award in last month's Grammy awards.
