Taylor Swift News, Update: Singer Responds to Bodysuit Criticism After 'Ready for It?' Music Video Release
Taylor Swift has recently released a brand-new music video for her second single "Ready for It?" but unlike the one for "Look What You Made Me Do," the singer is criticized by some for certain elements in the video.
Many were not happy about the "Ghost in the Shell" type nude bodysuit she donned in the music video. However, continuing her "old Taylor is dead" outlook for her new album "Reputation," she simply shook the backlash off and could not care less about it.
In one of her most recent Instagram Stories, she wrote "It truly warms my heart that [people] had so much to say about this bodysuit," adding a tears of joy emoji.
She then shared a number of behind the scenes images from the "Ready for It?" music video, showing off the skin-colored bodysuit that she wore for the project.
As fans know, the video featured two versions of the singer locked in a showdown. One is the robot version while the other was hooded and donned black.
Fans have wasted no time to theorize about the music video, believing that Swift is sending another message. Joseph Kahn, who helmed the record-breaking "Look What You Made Me Do" video, returns to the director chair for "Ready for It?"
In teasing its highly anticipated release, she tweeted that the music video is "homage to sci-fi and anime," perhaps drawing inspiration from "Ghost in the Shell," the manga series that inspired a movie starring Scarlett Johansson.
Swift is also filming another music video believed to be for "Gorgeous," her third single from "Reputation." The singer was spotted in London as she worked on the project including a kebab shop called Kentish Delight located in Kentish Town, North London.
She recently released a lyric video for "Gorgeous" and it is believed that the song is about her current boyfriend and British actor Joe Alwyn, who she has been dating since last year.
