Taylor Swift Reveals Harry Styles Cheated? Singer Addresses Love Life

Taylor Swift recently opened up about her split from One Direction singer Harry Styles two months after she allegedly ended their relationship.

In January it was claimed that the Grammy award-winning singer, 23, was left heartbroken after Styles, 18, allegedly broke it off. Swift recently confirmed that she was the initiator in their split, revealing that after dating for just 65 days she could not get past her trust issues.

"[Harry] was all, like, 'You're amazing- I want to be with you. I want to do this,'" Swift told Vanity Fair regarding Styles' behavior at the beginning of their relationship. However, he "disappeared one night and after that it was like he just didn't want to keep going."

The British teen reportedly cheated on Swift in the early stages of their relationship and although she gave him a second chance, she always "felt like he was looking at every girl."

The country music singer has been romantically linked to at least five Hollywood stars in the space of three years, according to reports, which has in part contributed to the public ridicule surrounding her love life. Swift only acknowledges two of her previous relationships, though- Styles and political heir Conor Kennedy.

"Since 2010 I have dated exactly two people," Swift said.

Among Swift's alleged list of ex-boyfriends is singer John Mayer, Joe Jonas, and actors Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Lautner.

Swift is renowned for penning her heartbreak in love songs in what appears to be a pattern immediately after each one of her break-ups. Doing so has garnered ridicule from various critics, including actor Michael J Fox, which Swift described as being unfair.

"For a female to write about her feelings, and then be portrayed as some clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend in need of making you marry her and have kids with her," Swift said. "I think that's taking something that potentially should be celebrated- a woman writing about her feelings in a confessional way- that's taking it and turning it and twisting it into something that is frankly a little sexist."
