Taylor Swift Sued: Ticket Company Claims Singer Kept $2.5 Million for Canceled Concert (VIDEO)

Country singer Taylor Swift is being sued by a ticketing agency after a large country music concert failed to go ahead as planned in Canada last year, according to reports.

Swift was scheduled to perform at the Capital Hoedown in Ottawa but the event was ultimately canceled meaning that Swift could not perform.

However, celebrity news website, TMZ, has reported that the ticket company involved in the concert claims Swift had already been paid $2.5 million for the performance but never paid it back once it was canceled.

It has been reported that the concert was actually canceled when producers could not get the concert organized in time. Despite the cancellation, Swift still received the hefty pay out, according to the lawsuit.

The ticket company has claimed that it had to refund $1.8 million in tickets already sold for the concert, and they feel it is unfair that at the same time Swift makes more than $2 million in profit from the event.

According to TMZ, Taylor's representatives have said that the singer has never made any deal with the ticketing company, and she has not yet seen the lawsuit in question.

Meanwhile, Swift's former boyfriend, One Direction band member Harry Styles, has finally broken his silence on their broken relationship this week. The lead singer of One Direction was briefly linked to Swift late year when the pair was repeatedly spotted kissing and holding hands.

Swift has been quite vocal about their break-up, mocking Styles in her performance at the Grammy Awards recently - imitating Styles' English accent begging her to get back together.

However, Styles in contrast has remained more dignified in his silence, and now he has spoken out his response has also been less aggressive.

While promoting One Direction's new single "One Way or Another" in London on Sunday, Styles replied to questions about how he was handling the split from Swift.

"I'm okay, thank you for asking," said the singer while speaking to London's capital FM during a radio interview. "I'm good."

Styles spoke about the Grammy performance by Swift, saying, "She's a great performer and she always performs great. She's always good on the stage. She's been doing it a long time. She knows what she's doing on stage. It was just another good Taylor Swift performance. It was good."

As for the speculation over his love life, Styles acknowledged its intrigue.

"I understand why people would want to know stuff like that, I get it. If someone does stuff like that then I want to know about it, too. I guess it just kind of … It is what it is, I guess."
