Taylor Swift to take a break from music to live the humdrum life

From the age of 14, Taylor Swift has been making her way up the ladder of success as a country singer−songwriter and, at the age of 26, has gone through most, if not all, that women working for success have encountered, including having her hands stepped on by those who have gone before her and her skirts peeked into by those on the lower rungs of the ladder she has been climbing. And now that she is veritably at the top of her game, having learned not to add her piece to an issue no matter how untrue and how to just walk away from something hurtful by labeling it on her own scale "low to medium hurtful …," after a decade of keeping it together, the pop icon has decided to take a break and live the humdrum life, and perhaps learn to mix a cocktail, change a tire, and even get CPR-certified.

Fans are advised not to hyperventilate as Swift has decided to go merely for a mini break from music, not shaking it off forever. And according to one of her closest friends, she may not even be gone for more than a month or two, as Swift may not be capable of staying away from music for very long.

Swift tells Vogue as she gets interviewed for their cover story, sounding "more blissful than anxious," "I just decided that after the past year, with all of the unbelievable things that happened … I decided I was going to live my life a little bit without the pressure on myself to create something."

As her "1989" tour came to an end, the iconic singer was asked what she planned to do, to which she had replied that she has no idea, but that she has some "short-term goals." She adds that she wants to learn to do useful things as changing a tire and making a "good" drink, and getting CPR-certified.

Her friends remain doubtful she can pull it off. Jack Anotonoff, her collaborator on "1989" points out, "Her not being creative is one of the last things I'd ever worry about."

Swift herself admits that, break or not, she would always be writing songs. And she goes on to say that she could very well create some things in the next two weeks and get back to work on a new record. She is keeping herself open for any option---including ending her self-professed break.

Another friend hits the nail on the head saying, "I think she's going to try to pick up some new skills, maybe take courses in something. Tay is a big fan of taking time off until about month two—and then she gets this look in her eyes, and I know all the Dateline and frozen yogurt and mooching around is about to go out the window."

She's got Taylor Swift down to a "T." And besides, after five studio albums, what's a month or two of lounging around in pajamas the whole day?

Somehow that just does not sound right said of the "You Belong With Me" star.
