'Teen Mom 2': Dad Corey Simms Remarries
Leah Messer found her dream man, and now ex-husband Corey Simms has found his dream woman. Simms married Miranda Peterson over the weekend, with the blessing of Leah and their twin daughters in attendance.
"Today in just a few hours, @CoreySimms2 and I will be joined in marriage," Peterson tweeted before the nuptials. "Happiest and most blessed day of my life. I love you handsome!"
Peterson is a police officer for the Mason County Sheriff's Department in West Virginia, and the couple has been together since 2012. They got engaged in December 2012 and went through with the wedding after Simms finalized his divorce from Messer.
Alianna and Aleeah, Simms' daughters with Messer, attended the ceremony and Peterson has Messer's blessing to be in her daughters' lives.
"She's wonderful to my daughters and that makes me adore & respect her," Messer posted on her Facebook wall after Simms announced his engagement, "as Corey's soon to be wife and Ali and Aleeah's stepmom!"
Messer and Simms had a tumultuous relationship that culminated in their divorce after Messer admitted that she had been unfaithful before their wedding. She then started dating Jeremy Calvert, but struggled with residual feelings for Simms. However, after a serious discussion, Messer decided to go through with her engagement and marriage to Calvert.
Simms then began dating Peterson, even though she was never seen during "Teen Mom 2." It's possible that fans of the reality series will be able to observe Simms and Peterson's relationship in the newest season of "Teen Mom 2," which has already begun filming.
No one was certain whether the sometimes controversial series would be back for a fifth season after "Teen Mom" wrapped its fourth and final season. Officials confirmed, though, that the show will be back and is already being filmed. All four teen moms-- Chelsea Houska, Leah Messer, Jenelle Evans, and Kailyn Lowry-- will return in the upcoming season.
