'Teen Mom 2' Renewed for Fifth Season
"Teen Mom 2" will be returning for a fifth season, a source confirmed. The show will feature its original stars: Jenelle Evans, Leah Messer, Chelsea Houska, and Kailyn Lowry.
Filming has apparently already begun with some of the girls, whose lives have drastically changed since they first appeared on "16 & Pregnant," followed by "Teen Mom 2." Fans were worried that after "Teen Mom" ended after four seasons, that its sequel would follow suit. However, they no longer have to worry.
"I saw Jenelle with her mother Barbara Evans, her son Jace and her new boyfriend Nathan at a restaurant with the camera crews and they were taping their lunch," an eyewitness told Radar Online.
"Yes, season 5 is happening," a source also told Radar. "All four girls are coming back."
Fans will get to see Leah's latest pregnancy with husband Jeremy, and the birth of their baby girl, Adalynn. The couple welcomed their first child and share custody of twins Ali and Aleeah with Leah's ex-husband Cory.
They will also learn whether Chelsea decided to stay in South Dakota to finish cosmetology school and earn her degree, and if Kailyn and new husband Javi have moved since he enlisted in the Air Force.
Of course, one of the most intriguing stars, Jenelle, will be prominently featured on the series. After marrying the man of her dreams, things quickly turned sour. The two were arrested for domestic assault and possession of marijuana. Since then, Jenelle has claimed to have been working to stay sober and focused on her son, Jace.
"Each of the girls was told back as early as January that they were going to do season five, but they had to keep it a secret," the source revealed. "There is always a ton of drama with these girls so they hope to capture that again."
"Teen Mom 2" is one of MTV's most popular series, with all of the real-life drama of the four teen mothers.
