'Teen Mom 2' Star Jenelle Evans' Husband Arrested for Felony Larceny
"Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans' husband is once again in trouble with the law. Courtland Rogers, who is only legally married to Evans and not with her, has been arrested and charged with felony larceny.
"I was trying to help him get into a treatment program and had even talked with a doctor. He was telling me he wanted to get sober and get away from drugs," friend Katie McMillan told Radar Online about the theft. "I figured out he didn't want any help after a few days. In the last text he sent me, he said he was going to pick up his money. That's when he left my house and never came back. I now know he meant he was going to pawn my stuff."
Rogers allegedly crashed with McMillan after being released from prison on drug charges. He spent nearly a year behind bars and was only recently released. Unfortunately, McMillan learned, Rogers has a history of pawning friends' things for cash.
"He knew I was going out of town the next day and he couldn't stay at my house," she explained. "I think he was hoping I wouldn't notice my stuff was gone before I left. I definitely noticed it was gone shortly after. It was the stuff I considered sentimental. Two of the rings he did take were actually the most sentimental things I own. They are both rings from each of my grandmothers."
McMillan called the police, who were able to track down her rings at a local pawn shop. Because the rings were valued at over $1,000, a warrant was issued for Rogers' arrest and he was charged with failure to appear in court and felony larceny. He is currently being held on $2,000 bond for failure to appear and $10,000 for the larceny.
As for Evans, she is keeping out of the situation and focusing on her new family, which includes a baby boy due this summer.
"Jenelle figured he would be back in jail soon," a friend told Radar. "She knows Courtland can't get his [expletive] together and it was only a matter of time. She's glad she isn't with him anymore and wants to end their marriage as soon as she can."
