'Teen Mom 3' Stars Co-Parent Daughter Despite Dating Dilemmas
"Teen Mom 3" stars Katie Yeager and Joey Maes have a special deal when it comes to parenting their daughter, Molli. The two agree to meet one another's dates when they turn serious and always confer before introducing anyone to their daughter.
Yeager is currently dating someone but has not introduced him to her daughter because things just aren't that serious. However, Maes knows all about the new man in his ex-girlfriend's life.
"It's nothing that they need to talk about just yet, but if it was to become more serious or he were to meet Molli, or something like that, then that would be something that Katie and Joey need to discuss," Katie's friend told Radar Online.
The couple has managed to keep their relationship cordial for the sake of their daughter and will be featured on "Teen Mom 3." Yeager and Maes already starred on "16 & Pregnant" and then agreed to be on the latest series of the popular show.
"If he wanted to, Joey could meet Katie's significant other when that time came," the source added. Joey "is single now. He's newly single, but he doesn't stay single."
The source noted that both are very respectful of one another's relationship, which is surprising given the drama of other relationships featured on MTV's series. Previous relationships have ended in divorce, separation, or one parent having nothing to do with the other.
Yeager and Maes have had a rocky past; Yeager caught Maes cheating on her while they were engaged. Thankfully they have moved on from that incident and are now able to successfully co-parent their daughter.
"They both love Molli and that's the only thing that matters," the source said. "They have finally gotten to a point as co-parents where they both respect each other and know that they are both in Molli's life for good. The other drama, it still stings for both of them sometimes because they still have a very intense past, but they are both at the point now, looking back a year later, where they've let go of a lot of hostility."
The new season of "Teen Mom 3" is scheduled to air some time this year.
