'Teen Mom' Farrah Abraham Homeschools Daughter; Attends Joel Osteen's Church
Former "Teen Mom" star Farrah Abraham has chosen to homeschool her four-year-old daughter in order to protect her from the public and allow her to work more on her career.
"To me, it's pretty major that she started kindergarten in general," Abraham told Wetpaint Entertainment. "She's doing homeschooling, and I'm very proud of that. Being a mother and seeing her at this age - I remember this age, so it's very dear to me and very special. It's her year. I'm just supportive and a good parent. I think that's what makes a difference in where she's at and how excelled she is. It's pretty cool."
Daughter Sophia is tutored through a program at a local university; a tutor comes to Abraham's home to educate the young girl. That allows Sophia to have distinction between her mother and her teacher and frees up Abraham to focus on her career. She has been incredibly busy ever since leaving the "Teen Mom" franchise: starring in two adult films, promoting night clubs across the country, and now working on a trilogy of adult books.
However, Abraham appears to have another side to her life and recently attended Lakewood Church, which is led by Joel Osteen. She actually tweeted to him, thanking him for the service, and he responded.
"Were in the house @lakewoodch #Houston much love, great people," Abraham initially tweeted.
"@f1abraham Thanks for visiting us at Lakewood! God bless you," Osteen responded.
Abraham has been vocal about trying to attend church with Sophia when she can and how faith has always been important to her.
"I have to say faith is a big part of my life," she told Starcasm.com earlier this year. "I'm not perfect, I think that's just life. There's really no perfect Christian. I go to church as often as possible and I have great Christian friends."
In addition to writing the adult novels, Abraham is also working on a Christian parenting book.
