'Teen Mom' Specials Follow Up With Original Stars: Farrah, Catelynn, and Amber
Fans of the original MTV series "Teen Mom" are in for a treat on Sunday, February 23. MTV is airing three back-to-back specials updating fans on the mom's lives since the show stopped filming.
First up is "Being Farrah," which explores Farrah Abraham's life. As many know, Abraham decided to make an adult video, and this episode will feature her decision-making process. Abraham has not relinquished the limelight since filming "Teen Mom" stopped a year-and-a-half ago. In addition to her adult videos, Abraham has worked for several companies, making appearances at clubs and even an adult-entertainment convention.
"Being Catelynn" follows the life of Catelynn Lowell, one of the only "16 & Pregnant" stars to follow through with an adoption plan for her daughter. She and boyfriend Tyler are having issues in this episode, although they were able to work their way through them and are still engaged. Since filming ceased, Catelynn and Tyler took custody of her little sister and have been responsible for raising her. Catelynn and Tyler have remained out of the limelight in order to provide their sister with a semi-normal upbringing.
"Being Amber" may be one of the most anticipated specials, given that it will be the first special since Portwood was released from jail. It is also the most up-to-date, with Portwood trying to reconnect with her daughter, Leah, and adjusting to living with her grandparents. It's a whole new world for Portwood as she adjusts to sober living and life outside of prison.
The specials are highly-anticipated by fans loyal to the original "Teen Mom" series, which wrapped after four seasons. Fans fell in love with the mothers and appreciated their struggles as they raised their children. One "Teen Mom" is noticeably absent from the line-up, but Maci Bookout has already had her own update, via "Being Maci," which aired last year.
The four specials air on MTV, starting with "Being Maci" at 11 a.m. EST.
