Teen Mom Star Leah Messer Beaten One Month After Miscarriage
"Teen Mom 2" star Leah Messer is suffering from swelling to the face after being jumped by a gang of girls just one month after suffering from a miscarriage.
The 19-year-old was beaten by three girls outside of a West Virginia movie theater over the weekend, according to TMZ.
Messer claims to have been followed by an unidentified woman while leaving the theatre complex with her fiance, Jeremy Calvert, and after asking the woman to stop she was reportedly jumped.
According to sources Calvert and a security were able to help Messer break free, and despite some redness and swelling to her face she is said to be fine.
The mother of two reportedly did not recognize any of her attackers, although her Mother, Dawn Spears, has since taken to Twitter in an effort to try and identify the three women and to vent about what she believes are misconceptions about her daughter.
"I have a $500.00 dollar reward to who can tell me the 3 girls that jumped Leah at the movie theater 30 min ago," Spears tweeted shortly after Messer's attack.
Messer is expected to file a police report shortly, and it is still unclear whether her attackers have been caught.
The news comes just one month after news broke that Messer suffered a miscarriage shortly after announcing that she was again pregnant with twins.
The mother of twins Aliannah & Aleeah, who were fathered by her ex-husband Corey Simms, was understandably devastated by her loss and Calvert recently spoke about their pain.
"It's a devastating experience, but all I can do is support Leah and take things day by day. It's hard, but we will get through it," Calvert told OK! magazine.
Messer was at her mother's home on a Saturday afternoon when she lost the baby, OK! reported.
"She was having extreme pain to the point where she couldn't get out of bed. Leah knew something was happening. She was bleeding and had body aches," a source told OK.
