No. 28 in the continuously lengthening list of DC Universe Animated Original Movies, "Teen Titans: The Judas Contract" also serves as both prequel and sequel to the previous DTV "Justice League vs. Teen Titans" that came out last year.
Noted for having established the infamous rivalry between the Titans and the villainous Deathstroke, and introducing Dick Grayson's new hero identity as Nightwing, "The Judas Contract" will be released for digital download on April 4 and for home media two weeks later on April 18 by Warner Home Video.
The movie will come out in both Blu-ray and DVD with additional freebies and content. The Blu-ray Deluxe Giftset, priced at $39.99, will include a limited edition Blue Beetle figurine along with a sneak peek at the next DC Universe Original Movie featuring Batman and Harley Quinn. It will also include a revealing documentary featuring Marv Wolfman and George Pérez, the minds behind the "The Judas Contract" comic book arc.
There will also be a short feature on the origin and exceptional abilities of the villain Deathstroke, and two bonus cartoons from the DC Comics Vault.
The Blu-ray Combo pack, priced at $24.98, will have all the features in the Deluxe Giftset except for the Blue Beetle figurine. On the other hand, the DVD version, which is the most affordable option at $19.98, will only come with the Batman and Harley Quinn sneak peek.
The movie will also feature the voice talents of Christina Ricci as Terra, and the late Miguel Ferrer as Deathstroke, along with the original voice cast from the "Justtice League vs. Teen Titans" movie.
Partly based on the game-changing arc on the "New Teen Titans" comic book series in the mid-1980s, "Teen Titans: The Judas Contract" teases an unforgettable plot twist, which is said to have set the tone for darker storylines in subsequent DC titles. Check out the official trailer below.
