'Tekken 7' DLC Rumors: Will Two Guest Characters Coming Post-Launch Be Taken From Capcom Games?

First 'Tekken 7' DLC character to be released during the winter, while second guest character is set to be made available during the spring of next year

Developers recently outlined the post-launch downloadable content plans for "Tekken 7," and they even revealed more details about the upcoming roster additions.

To be more specific, Bandai Namco recently announced that the two new fighters coming post-launch will be guest characters coming from other games.

The question now though is which games will these guest characters be coming from, and it seems like a new clue related to this matter has been spotted by a fan.

Over on Twitter, "@CesarGMNT" pointed out that an image promoting the upcoming fighting game's DLC additions also includes a mention of Capcom. The Twitter user then added that this could mean that the two DLC characters may be coming from the "Street Fighter" franchise.

It wouldn't be that surprising if the two post-launch DLC characters coming to "Tekken 7" do indeed have roots in the "Street Fighter" series.

After all, adding characters who are already featured in fighting games would make developing them easier, as they already possess distinct movesets and fighting styles.

Furthermore, the game's current roster already includes one prominent "Street Fighter" alumnus in the form of Akuma, so it's not that difficult to imagine the developers deciding to give him some company.

Unfortunately, the developers have not confirmed yet if two more "Street Fighter" characters are indeed on their way to the game.

In any case, the two post-launch roster additions will also be released together with their own special stages and costumes.

The first guest character is currently set to be released during the upcoming winter season, while the second roster member should be made available sometime within the spring of next year.

Players can purchase the DLC characters individually or get them as part of the game's season pass. Another DLC pack featuring an additional game mode and new costumes will also be released this summer.

"Tekken 7" will be officially released for the PC, PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One on June 2.
