Temper Tantrum Ad: Democrats Slam Speaker John Boehner in Government Shutdown Ad (VIDEO)

A temper tantrum ad, criticizing Speaker John Boehner, is set to air on Sunday, as the pressure of the government shutdown continues through the weekend.

The House Majority PAC produced the advertisement, which has been designed to take a swing at Speaker Boehner's handling of the government shutdown crisis.

The ad shows a baby crying, and attempts to show that as a comparison to Boehner's attitude and perspective toward Obamacare and health care reform.

In the ad, the baby cries and whines, as a voiceover states: "Speaker John Boehner didn't get his way on shutting down health care reform. So, he's shut down the government and hurt the economy."

The democratic ad is scheduled to air during the Patriots-Bengals football game on Sunday, in an attempt to give it as much exposure as possible, and of course to apply more pressure to Boehner and Republicans in caving in on the government shutdown.

The Patriots vs Bengals game of course takes place in Boehner's district, and that is the core reason why the 39-second attack ad targets the audience watching that game.

Andy Stone, communications director of the House Majority PAC, issued a statement in support of the advertisement: "Speaker Boehner didn't get his way and so, like a child, he threw a Tea Party-inspired temper tantrum and shut down the federal government.

"The American people are sick and tired of the intransigence and manufactured crises that have become all too common from Speaker Boehner and the House Republicans.

"Speaker Boehner should stop playing politics, end the nonsense and finally focus on the real-life consequences his government shutdown has caused Americans."
